Coaches run the extra mile working at McDonald’s McCoaches Night
Larkin Cross Country Team serves students, student-athletes, and families to raise money for new team uniforms
Elgin | Larkin Cross Country Team Coaches volunteered behind the counter on Thursday, October 11th, at the Elgin McDonald’s located at 1480 Larkin Avenue, where they served students and their families in a fundraiser for Larkin High School Cross Country Team.
Head coach Jose Uriostegui did an outstanding job selling pies to customers throughout the night. The proceeds went directly to benefit the cross-country team. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the McCoaches Night sales were donated directly to the Larkin Cross Country team.
David Bear, Owner Operator of the Elgin McDonald’s on Larkin, and the Bear Family Restaurants were delighted to participate in the worthy cause for the community.

“McCoaches Night is part of McDonald’s larger commitment to the important initiatives supporting families and the local community,” Bear said.
Bear donated a case of apple pies to the school for sale at the event. Inspired by the success of McCoaches Night, the Bear family has set their sights on partnering with other teams in the Elgin area.
