District 46 To Celebrate Its Graduates This Weekend

ELGIN, IL – High school graduations will be held on Saturday, May 26 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, and U-46 seniors have a lot to celebrate, school officials said this past week. On the new “Class of 2018” section on the U-46 website, there are profiles of our students who are finishing in the top 2 percent of their class, along with winners of the Superintendent’s Scholarship and students who have been honored at the Club Guadalupano Awards Banquet and the United Black Scholarship dinner.

The graduation day schedule is as follows:

• 8 a.m. Bartlett High School
• 11 a.m. Larkin High School
• 2 p.m. Streamwood High School
• 5 p.m. South Elgin High School
• 8 p.m. Elgin High School

School District U-46 is asking families and friends attending the graduation ceremonies to reduce the number of cars traveling to and from the Sears Centre by carpooling. Graduates, families and guests are also asked to arrive 45 minutes prior to your school's graduation ceremony, according to a news release from District 46.
