From Dogtopia: Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog daycare, boarding and spa facility, is opening a new location in South Elgin on Saturday, April 13. Situated at 580 Randall Road just east of the Thornwood subdivision, this location marks the fourth Dogtopia to open in the Chicagoland area.

The new location is owned by local entrepreneurs, Dave and Sue George. After working in corporate America for 30 years, Dave decided it was time to switch gears and marry his passion for business with his love of dogs by opening Dogtopia for the local dog community. Dave and Sue are active members of their local community, with Dave serving on the Executive Board of the local Boy Scout council and Sue on the Board of Trustees in the Village of Compton Hills. Both have a combined total of over 40 years volunteering and are looking forward to many more. The Georges are also proud parents to Lauren, 25 and Sam, 23 and are also pet parents to a 10-year-old Shitzhu-Bishon Frise mix named Sophie, who will also enjoy the daycare, boarding and spa at the new location.

In celebration of the grand opening on May 2 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., Dogtopia of South Elgin will offer a bonus day for new customers with the purchase of a 5-day pass. They will also have a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m.

Offering personalized care for Fox Valley pups in a fun, safe and comfortable environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among dog daycares with its three key benefits: education, exercise and socialization. To foster complete transparency, pet parents are walked through a detailed facility tour while their furry children are evaluated for Dogtopia’s open-play environment. Dogtopia employs webcam technology in each playroom that allows pet parents to check on their pups from anywhere.

“We are thrilled to bring Dogtopia to Fox Valley and provide much-needed care for dogs in the area,” said Dave. “Our mission is to create the most exciting day ever for pups, while giving their parents peace-of-mind while they are away. Instead of being left alone at home or in an isolated kennel environment, Dogtopia provides an opportunity for our pups to meet new friends, get exercise, enjoy playtime and have quality human interaction while at daycare. And, if they are with us for boarding, 8-10 hours of open play daycare is included every day.”

Dogs will enjoy an open layout where three different playrooms offer fun for pups of similar size and temperament. Each playroom also has compressed rubber flooring to ease joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play, playground equipment, as well as a powerful HVAC system, with in-duct UV lighting, that not only ensures clean, fresh air, but also eliminates mold and bad bacteria. Every area is cleaned extensively daily and solely with dog-safe products. Dogtopia’s fees are all-inclusive – meals are prepared according to each pet parent’s direction.

“We understand the dogs in our care are more than just pets – they’re members of the family,” added Dave. “Our employees are meticulously trained to take every measure possible to guarantee their comfort, safety and meet all of their needs.”

In addition to providing quality care in a healthy, safe and fun environment for local pups, Dogtopia launched the Dogtopia Foundation with the noble cause to enable dogs to positively change our world. The Foundation funds programs focused around three worthy causes: Services Dogs for Veterans, Youth Literacy Programs and Employment Initiatives for Adults with Autism. One hundred percent of funds raised are donated directly to supported organizations. To learn more, visit www.dogtopiafoundation.org.
