Find the college that is right for you at College Night. Representatives from over 100 colleges and universities will be at ECC on Tuesday, Oct. 1 to help students explore their options. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Building J, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. Visitors should park in the red lot marked “J” and enter the college through the lobby of Building J.

Current college students, high school students, and other prospective students are encouraged to attend the event to learn more about the schools they would like to attend. Attendees can save time by registering for the event through www.strivefair.com. After registering, attendees will receive a bar code that can be scanned by colleges, automatically adding interested students to their mailing list for more information about their school.

This year, there are two presentations in addition to the fair. Understand the differences between two-year and four-year institutions by attending “Choosing a College” (Building G, Spartan Auditorium) and gain insight into the decision process from researching schools to application timelines. “Choosing Careers” (Building H, Room H124) will help parents and students with the career development process, including options from college, career training, and military service. Both sessions will be offered twice during the evening at 6:15 and 7:15 p.m.
