Elgin Electronics Recycling Event is This Weekend
Various trash items can also be dropped off.
ELGIN, IL — The city of Elgin will host its summer trash drop off and electronics recycling event this weekend. Accepted items can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and noon at the Waste Management Transfer Station, 1245 Gifford Road. The event will include secure document destruction and electronic recycling with a limit of two TVs allowed to be dropped off.
Ant additional TVs are $10 each to drop off.
Otherwise, the cost is $20 per vehicle to drop off items, only cash will be accepted, and residents will be allowed to bring up to a 15-foot U-Haul or Penske truck filled with household waste. Absolutely no household hazardous waste will be accepted.

This event is for Elgin residents only and proof of residency via state-issued ID is required.
