Elgin Man Busted With Meth, Ammunition In Car: Police
The 45-year-old Elgin man now faces several drug charges.

ELGIN, IL – A 45-year-old Elgin man faces several drug charges following a traffic stop early Wednesday, authorities said. Elgin Police Department officers pulled over a vehicle at North State Street and Mountain Street at about 12:03 a.m. The driver, Marco A. Medina-Perez, 45, of the 0 to 100 block of Wilcox Avenue, was allegedly driving on a suspended license and taken into custody, authorities said.
While searching his vehicle, officers found methamphetamine and several rounds of ammunition, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. Medina-Perez was charged with unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 2 felony; unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, a Class 1 felony; obstructing justice, a Class 4 felony; FOID card required-possession of ammunition, a Class A misdemeanor and three driving/traffic citations.
Medina-Perez is expected in bond court on Thursday.
