Elgin Man Charged With Sex Abuse of 2 Children

Bail has been set at $1 million for Jose L. Dominguez.

KANE COUNTY, IL — An Elgin man faces multiple criminal charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two children he knew, prosecutors said. Jose L. Dominguez, 52, of the 1 to 99 block of Pioneer Park Place in Elgin, has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony.

Between January 2011 and November 2018, Dominguez is accused of sexually assaulting and sexually abusing the victims, whom he knew. The victims were younger than 13 years old, prosecutors said.

Over the weekend, Dominguez’s bail was set at $1 million.

If he posts bond, Dominguez has been ordered to have no contact with anyone younger than 18 years old.

Dominguez’s next court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Nov. 28.

The case remains under investigation.
