Elgin Man Faces Child Porn Charges
The charges allege that he solicited sexually explicit videos from two underage victims and sent them a video of him performing a sex act.

ELGIN, IL — An Elgin man is being facing child pornography charges, according to a press release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. He's alleged to have solicited sexually explicit videos from two underage victims.
Devin Moberg, 33, is facing seven counts of solicitation of child pornography (class X felony), two counts of solicitation of child pornography (class one felony), grooming (class four felony) and two counts of distributing harmful material to a minor, a class A misdemeanor.
Moberg, of the 300 block of Richert Court in Elgin, "solicited the two minor victims via social media to send him videos and images of themselves engaging in sex acts," in the Spring of 2017, the press release from the State's Attorney's Office says. He's also alleged to have sent a video to the minors of himself engaging in a sex act.

Moberg appeared in court on Friday where his bail was set at $3 million, with 10 percent to post. If he does post bond, he'll be barred from contacting the victims or going to their houses.
He is set to appear in court again on Nov. 22. If he is convicted of the most serious offense, Moberg will be imprisoned for a minimum of six years, according to the press release.

Additionally, if he is convicted, he will have to register for life as a sex offender.
