Elgin PD To Host Disaster Response Training Classes
Anyone can attend and the classes are free.

ELGIN, IL -- The Elgin Police Department has scheduled training to prepare citizens in basic disaster response skills. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course offers education that will enable residents to support the needs of their family, neighborhood and workplace following a disaster, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. Registration is open and the free classes are held on five consecutive Saturday beginning on Sept. 29.
The class runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. through Oct. 27.
