Elgin Plans Virtual Veteran Days Ceremony

All are encouraged to tune in and honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The City of Elgin, in partnership with American Legion Post 57, will honor our nation's veterans during the annual Veterans Day Ceremony, scheduled to take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11 live on the City of Elgin Facebook Page. The ceremony video will also be available after the live event on Facebook as well as on the City's website and YouTube channel.

All are encouraged to tune in and honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The ceremony will feature a welcome from Tricia L. Dieringer, words from Elgin Fire Chief Robb Cagann and Elgin Police Chief Ana Lalley and guest speaker Mayor David Kaptain. The ceremony will also include musical selections and representation from the American Legion Elgin Post 57.

The ceremony is being held in a virtual format this year due to restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
