Elgin Police Search For Missing Man

ELGIN, IL -- The Elgin Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man who has been missing since June 17. Authorities are trying to locate Michael Vargas, 50, so they can check on his welfare, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. Vargas was last seen at about 7:30 a.m. on June 17 in the 200 block of Division Street.

He is described as being a Hispanic man with a small build. He is 5-feet, 7-inches tall and was last seen wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to the Facebook post.
