Elgin Police Track Down Man Accused of Home Invasion
Elgin Police arrested Terrance B. Marshall, 36 of Markham, in Cherry Valley after a June 10 home invasion near 1200 Amanda Circle.

ELGIN, IL — Elgin Police have arrested a man in association with a June 10 home invasion that took place at the 1200 block of Amanda Circle. Terrance B. Marshall, 36, of the 16000 block of Laflin Street in Markham was taken into custody June 14 after a joint investigation by Elgin and Rockford Police.
According to Elgin Police, Marshall allegedly forced his way into an Elgin residence on June 10 and "battered a female resident" before fleeing the scene. The victim reportedly had facial injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. An investigation led police to issue a warrant for Marshall's arrest on a felony count of home invasion. He was taken into custody Wednesday in Cherry Valley .
Police said Marshall is on parole for a homicide conviction and has a warrant out from the Illinois Department of Corrections that was issued after his June 14 arrest.
