Blizzard Closings: What's Closed in Kane County?

Most schools are closed.

KANE COUNTY, IL–A blizzard has messed up roadways and left many without power this morning in northern and central Illinois. With the less-than-ideal conditions, most schools have decided to close for the day. In addition, daycares, businesses and other organizations have also decided not to open.

As of 6:30 a.m., many libraries have decided to open late.

We’ve included a list below of area closings. If you don’t see your school or library, be sure to check the Emergency Closing Center website or the organization or business website, before you go.
