Elgin's Police Chief Shares Department Updates In New Video

ELGIN, IL -- The city of Elgin has launched a new video, which they plan to record monthly, featuring updates from the city's police chief, Ana Lalley. Lalley provided updates on what is happening regarding crime trends in Elgin and news regarding what is happening within her department.

During her inaugural episode, Lalley answered some commonly-asked questions by those within the community including questions regarding the cancellation of Elgin's National Night Out. The event was cancelled last week due to the rain. Lalley said Elgin's National Night Out will not be rescheduled. But she added the lesson learned is that Elgin may try to have a back-up indoor option next year.
