Expressway Shooting Leaves Elgin Man Critically Injured: ISP
Illinois State Police said the 25-year-old was traveling westbound near Beverly Road when he was shot by someone in another vehicle.
CHICAGO — A 25-year-old Elgin man was critically injured after a shooting on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.
The shooting was at least the 172st of the year on a Chicago-area expressway.
Police said the man was driving westbound on Interstate 90 near Beverly Road in Elgin when he was shot by someone in another vehicle at around 4:11 a.m. Police said the man's passenger was uninjured.

The 25-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Westbound lanes on I-90 were closed to investigate the shooting until around 7:20 a.m. Sunday.
