Food Bank Distributes Free Groceries at Pop-up In Elgin Sat. July 8th
Pop-up mobile market at Elgin Community College this weekend - first 1,000 families will get free groceries-no ID or registration required

Inflation, rising food costs and ending of the emergency government SNAP benefits are driving 450K neighbors per month to seek assistance from the Northern Illinois Food Bank pantries and programs. To help neighbors in need, Northern Illinois Food Bank will be distributing free groceries on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 9am-11am. The pop-up mobile market will be held at Elgin Community College. Two semi-trucks of food will be unloaded and distributed by volunteers.
Everyone who needs groceries is welcome – no ID, proof of income, or referral is needed. Mobile Markets distribute food in drive-thru model while supplies last.
