Foster Homes Needed THIS Saturday 2/24!

Safe Haven Dog Rescue has the chance to make a big difference in the lives of these 2 families, but we need 2 committed foster homes to make it happen. The shelter is no place to raise a family, it’s too noisy, too much exposure to diseases, there is no individualized care, and there is no place for mom to decompress.

We would like to place the 2 families below into foster homes THIS weekend – Saturday 2/24.

Mya and her 9 puppies are in a local shelter. She was so skinny when she was found that it’s surprising that she has any milk to give her pups. She is getting regular meals but has no place to relax and enjoy her babies because it’s so loud and she is always making sure they are safe. Mya is friendly with all humans and lets them handle her puppies. She will even crawl in your lap and let her puppies nurse while you are loving on her.

Our rescue partner is also coming Saturday 2/24, and they have asked us to seek foster for Florence and her 9 puppies. She looks to be a Lab or Collie mix and is very friendly with all humans. She also has no issues with people handling her puppies. Her puppies were born in a shed during a cold snap and one didn’t make it. The other 9 are doing great and nursing like crazy. Florence wants you to know that if you are paying attention to her puppies, she would like some love too. Unfortunately, she is Heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment once the puppies are weaned. Safe Haven will cover all the vetting and treatment, you provide a safe place for her to recover.
