🏡 URGENT - Three Foster Homes Needed - Saturday 9/23! 🏡

Safe Haven Dog Rescue has the chance to make a big difference in these deserving dogs’ lives, but we need committed foster homes to bring them to safety.

Our rescue partner is coming Saturday 9/23, but they can only bring as many as we have foster homes for. The shelter is completely overcrowded, loud, noisy, and scary. These are the dogs that are hopeful to get our of the shelter:

Fancy – Female, About 1 year old, said to be a Border Collie/Standard Poodle mix.

Fancy and her puppies were wandering the busiest intersection in the local town. The puppies were in the street, in traffic, on the highway and one got hit and didn’t make it. The local animal rescue was able to round up the 4 other puppies and find the house where they lived. The family told them to take the puppies, but they wanted to keep Fancy and possibly have more puppies or sell her. The next day, the shelter volunteers pooled their funds and went back and purchased Fancy. She didn’t deserve to be left out on the highway or used for breeding. She is very sweet and loving. We are told she is extremely smart and gets along well with humans and dogs. We are not sure about cats as we have not observed her with one.

1 of Fancy’s Puppies – Foster needed for one 7-week old female puppy. This is one of Fancy’s puppies that survived being left out on the busy highway. This is a puppy that will need love, socialization, and then start potty and leash training.

Patches – Female, About 4 months old and 22lbs. Shepherd Mix – Patches wandered up to someone's house. No one came for her or claimed her as their puppy. We don't understand why! Here is what we are told "She is a sweetheart. She loves to snuggle and give kisses. She just loves attention. Sunday, she was trying to play with the broom through her kennel when they were cleaning. Patches is social and is good with all humans and other dogs.
