Help Wildlife in Need at Nov. Program

A Great Horned Owl, Barred Owl, and Red Tail Hawk will be on hand at the event at Schweitzer Forest Preserve.

If you like wildlife, don’t miss the Sunday, November 10th program at Schweitzer Environmental Center (SEC) when Kane Area Rehabilitation and Education (K.A.R.E.) Birds of Prey program is presented at 12:30 p.m. A Great Horned Owl, Barred Owl, and Red Tail Hawk will visit for an hour and attendees can enjoy refreshments and discover what to do if they see injured wildlife. Rehabilitators will be on hand to answer your questions about helping wildlife in need. The program is free but reservations are required, please call 815-356-6605 to reserve your space (or respond on SEC Facebook). Meet at SEC at 12:30 p.m. (the house in Schweitzer Forest Preserve) located at 16N690 Sleepy Hollow Road in West Dundee. SEC is sponsored by the Friends of the Fox River.
