Man Found Dead In Fox River In Elgin: Police
A body was recovered early Thursday near South Grove Avenue, authorities said.
ELGIN, IL — A death investigation is underway after a man's body was recovered from the Fox River early Thursday in Elgin, police said.
Elgin police responded to the 200 block of South Grove Avenue at about 2:50 a.m. after receiving a report of a deceased person in the river, according to authorities. The Elgin Fire Department and the Kane County Coroner's Office also responded to the scene and recovered the man's body from the Fox River.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
