Man Hit by Car in Elgin: Police

The collision occurred at the intersection of McClean Boulevard and Main Lane Thursday night, police said.

ELGIN, IL – A 50-year-old man is being treated for injuries sustained after he was hit by a car in Elgin Thursday night, police said. A preliminary investigation revealed a 2004 Jaguar, driven by a 49-year-old Carpentersville man, was heading south on McClean Boulevard at Main Lane when it hit the man, who was crossing the street. The collision occurred at about 7:15 p.m., according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page.

The 50-year-old man was taken to an area hospital and was listed in stable condition. The police department's traffic unit is investigating the crash.
