Man Punched Store Employee With Special Needs: Prosecutors
A Bartlett man now faces an aggravated battery charge. His bail has been set at $50,000.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — A 50-year-old Bartlett man is accused of punching a Jewel-Osco employee who has special needs in the face. Bruce Mirabella is charged with aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony, in connection with the Monday incident at the Jewel grocery store on Stearns Road in Bartlett.
Police say Mirabella went to the store to buy alcohol and was in the checkout line when he attacked the employee, who was bagging groceries at the store, according to a news release from the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.
After punching the employee, Mirabella then kicked him in the back before fleeing the store, according to prosecutors.

Authorities found Mirabella at his home and took him into custody. His bail has been set at $50,000, authorities said.
