Meet Sanderson!

This 50lb boy is a heeler / pit mix…we call him a “Peeler”! He’s a fantastic combo of working dog and cuddle bug! He was adopted from Safe Haven as a puppy and returned because the family just didn't have time for him.

He is a very SMART boy! He knows sit, paw, lay down, kiss, and I’m sure a few more we haven’t discovered yet. He’s really good with his foster siblings and is pretty energetic. He sleeps peacefully through the night. He loves to play catch and zoom around the yard. After a long game of fetch Sanderson loves to curl up and be with his people!

While he loves his foster family, he’s ready to find his forever family and put down roots. What does his perfect family look like? Well, they need to be willing to give this boy the attention he deserves! Sanderson is the best of both worlds - active, loving, resourceful and hardworking like a Heeler. He also has a playful temperament and friendly nature like a Pit Bull. He and has a strong desire to please his people which can be said of both his breeds. Sanderson would love a home with a yard to run around in. Someone who understands that he has a lot of energy and can give him positive outlets to put his skills to use!
