ELGIN, IL — A Metra train has derailed in Elgin and is blocking traffic in town. The derailment happened on eastbound Chicago Street at Route 31, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. The other bridges in town are clear.
Metra Milwaukee District West trains are experiencing delays and train #2212 will not be operating today, according to Metra’s Twitter page.
