Missing Man Who Suffers From Dementia Found Safe

ELGIN, IL -- A 51-year-old man with dementia, who was reported missing Sunday, has been found and is safe, police said Sunday night. Luis Acevedo was last spotted in the 200 block of Villa Street at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. The man, who has "limited verbal skills," was located a short time later and was "doing fine and not injured," police said.

"Thanks to the community for assisting in looking for him," police said.
