Night Hikes Planned For Jan., Feb. in Kane County
The Forest Preserve District of Kane County is hosting the hikes at Jon J. Duerr Forest Preserve and Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls.

GENEVA, IL — Get out in nature for a brisk night hike while "learning the legends of the moon" as part of a program offered in the coming weeks through the Forest Preserve District of Kane County. During the "By the Light of the Moon" hikes, attendees can listen to stories and learn a little astronomy. The evening hikes will take place, even if the skies are cloudy, on the following dates:
- Sunday, Jan. 20: The Wolf Moon hike will take place from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. at Jon J. Duerr Forest Preserve, 35W003 IL Route 31 in South Elgin
· Wednesday, Feb. 20: The Snow Moon hike will take place from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. at Camp Tomo Chi-Chi Knolls, 40W095 Freeman Road, Gilberts.
