Obtaining Funding for a Person with a Disability

NAMI, Kane County North affiliate, is sponsoring a free session on “How to be Successful in Obtaining Funding for a Person with a Disability” at the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin, 60120, on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1:00 pm. The event will be in the “Elgin Room” on the 2nd floor.

Attorney Robert H. Farley will present the topic, after providing legal representation to children and adults with disabilities for over 25 years. His law practice is focused exclusively on helping people obtain government services and benefits due to their disability. He has argued numerous cases before the Illinois Supreme Court, and before the Federal District and United States Court of Appeals. He has four adult children, including Ryan, his developmentally disabled son.

He will speak to guardianship, Special Needs Trusts, applying for SSI benefits, and other strategies to obtain funding. Visit his website at farley1.com.
