Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Metra Along Milwaukee District-West Line
The crash happened near the Roselle train station Monday afternoon and is causing extensive delays.

A person is dead after being struck by a Metra train Monday afternoon near a train station in Roselle.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by inbound Train 2242 along the Milwaukee District West line, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The incident occurred near Park Street just west of the Roselle station at about 3:50 p.m., according to ABC 7.
Several delays are being reported along the Milwaukee District West line Monday evening, according to metrarail.com. Check metrarail.com for updates.

In addition, Prospect and Park avenues were closed off of Irving Park following the crash, Jessyca Malina, a reporter for CBS Chicago and Fox 32 News, reported on her Twitter account.
