Plane Runs Into Power Lines, Crashes Near Hampshire
The crash occurred Sunday evening, authorities said. No one was seriously injured.
HAMPSHIRE, IL – The pilot in a single-engine plane that struck power lines and then crashed near Hampshire Sunday evening was not seriously injured, authorities told the Daily Herald. The crash occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Getty Road near Route 20. The pilot – who was the sole occupant of the plane – was extricated by firefighters and taken to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, the Daily Herald reports.
