Police Investigate BB Gun Fired Outside Elgin Elementary School

No one was injured during the incidents that occurred in recent weeks.

ELGIN, IL – Authorities in Elgin are investigating reports of someone firing a BB gun on three different occasions outside Garfield Elementary School in Elgin, according to the Daily Herald. The incidents occurred on April 30, May 1 and on Monday, police said. A school employee's car window and a classroom window was damaged, but no one was injured, according to the news report.

An investigation is underway and authorities are looking at video footage from camerasoutside the school, according to the Daily Herald. Anyone with tips or information regarding the incidents can call police at 847-289-2600 or text 87411 and include ELGINPD at the beginning of the text.
