Police Search For Man Who Exposed Himself To Kids: Police

Three juveniles told police the man pulled over, asked for directions and then exposed himself to them.

ELGIN, IL – The Elgin Police Department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a man who allegedly exposed himself to three juveniles who were walking in Elgin Monday night. The incident occurred at about 7:12 p.m.in the area of Grace and Bent streets. The juveniles told authorities a person described as a Hispanic male in his 40s pulled over and asked the children for directions, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department's Facebook page.

When they approached to respond to the man, they noticed he was exposing himself, according to authorities.

They ran away from the vehicle and let an adult know what had happened. The man did not have any other contact with the children, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s with heavy wrinkles under his eyes, a black baseball cap and grey shirt. He was driving a dark older model four-door car with an unspecified bumper sticker somewhere on the back of the vehicle, according to police.

Additionally, individuals can provide anonymous tips or information via the crime line at 847-695-4195 or by texting 847-411 and including the ELGINPD in the beginning of the text, along with the message and/or tip information.
