Elgin Police Continue To Search For Shooter: UPDATE
One person was injured in the Tuesday afternoon shooting in Elgin.

UPDATE AT 9 A.M. ON MAY 30: The Elgin Police Department provided the following update regarding Tuesday's shooting on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page Wednesday morning:
The Gang Crimes Unit continues to investigate yesterday’s shooting incident. The victim was transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital for further care. As of this time, there are no further updates to provide. We continue to ask that anyone with information pertinent to this case please call (847) 289-2503, or text 847411 and include ELGINPD at the beginning of the text, along with the message and/or tip information.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE POSTED ON MAY 29: ELGIN, IL — The Elgin Police Department is searching for the shooter involved in a Tuesday afternoon incident in the city, police said. The shooting occurred in the 0 to 100 block of North Edison Avenue at about 3:59 p.m. The shooter fled on foot, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page.
One person was shot and taken to the hospital, police said.
