Pregnant Woman Injured In Elgin Blaze: Fire Officials
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

ELGIN, IL – A 35-year-old pregnant woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation following a fire in Elgin Saturday evening, fire officials said. Fire crews were called to the home in the 1000 block of Shady Oak Drive in Elgin at 5:27 p.m. Saturday. The blaze was located in the ceiling between the basement and first floor, according to the Elgin Courier-News.
The fire caused about $75,000 in damage.
