New Store Moving Into Former Toys 'R' Us on Randall

ALGONQUIN, IL — A national retailer will be setting up shop in the former Toys 'r Us and Babies 'r Us space along Randall Road in Algonquin. Floor & Decor, a specialty retailer offering varieties of hard surface flooring, is planning to move into the vacant building in the Oakridge Court Shopping Center, according to information provided by Algonquin's Economic Development Department.

The retailer also plans to occupy an adjacent 80,000-square-feet of space, according to village documents. It's not immediately clear where that additional space is located.

Floor & Decor has a variety of flooring types, including tile, wood and stone and related tools and flooring accessories.

"At Floor & Decor, homeowners and professional contractors have access to superstore selection at warehouse prices with showroom quality," according to the Floor & Decor website. "Our extensive selection of in-stock product allows our customers to get what they need when they need it."

Floor & Decor is expected to open in early 2020, village officials said this past week. Currently, the closest Floor & Decor stores are in Gurnee and Arlington Heights.
