Search Begins For New District 46 Superintendent

ELGIN, IL -- The Community Consolidated School District 46 Board of Education is starting its search for a new superintendent. The current superintendent, Ellen Correll, will retire at the end of the 2018-19 school year after 14 years with District 46, according to a post on the CCSD 46 Facebook page. A new superintendent is slated to start on July 1, 2019.

As part of the superintendent search process, an open forum will be held on September 13 to provide the CCSD 46 search firm, B.W.P. & Associates, LTD, with input as to what qualities and characteristics are needed in a new superintendent. The community is welcome to join us in the Frederick School Media Center at 7 p.m. to share their input with the search firm.

This meeting will also enable the search firm to provide information to stakeholders as to the process the Board of Education will use in selecting the new superintendent for CCSD 46, according to the Facebook post.
