Social Media Safety Presentation To Be Held In Kane County
A child and adolescent psychiatrist will offer social media safety strategies to parents at the event.

KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Juvenile Justice Council is partnering with Burlington Central School District 301 to host a Social Media Safety presentation through its 'Parent University' on Monday, Oct. 29. Eric Nolan, a child and adolescent psychiatrist, will discuss anxiety in children, including coping skills and school refusal.
Junaid Afeef from the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority will also offer a presentation on the criminal connections that youth might encounter while engaging in social media.
There will be two presentations that are open to the community, one at 6 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m.

The presentation will be held at Central High School, 44W625 Plato Rd., in Burlington.
