ELGIN, IL — Authorities in Elgin have fielded complaints this past week of a male driver following females in a far west subdivision in town, according to a Thursday post on the Elgin Police Department's Facebook page. Three separate incidents occurred between Sept. 8 and Sept. 11 in the Providence subdivision and during one of the incidents, the suspicious man may have taken photos of children, police said.

The male driver is described as being white, between the age of 25 and 35 years old with brown hair, scruffy facial hair and who was wearing a baseball hat, according to authorities.

Two different vehicle descriptions have been provided to police. A vehicle used during at least one of the incidents has been described as a silver sedan and the other vehicle description was that of a black two-door vehicle, possibly a Honda or Scion, with tinted windows. A folding ladder was in the back seat of the black vehicle during one of the incidents.
