Enrollment is now open for a free, online course in COVID-19 Contact Training. Completion of this self-paced course will result in an ECC certificate of completion.

Elgin Community College’s Division of Workforce Development and Continuing Education began developing the course last month in response to Governor Pritzker’s initiative to restrict the spread of COVID-19.

“Contact Tracing is the process of supporting infected individuals and warning those who may have been in contact with the infected individual in order to stop chains of transmission,” said Jorge Phillips, director of continuing education. “We engaged ECC faculty member Michelle Kershner, professor of mathematics, to create the course using ECC’s Distance Learning platform, and we are excited to offer this course to the community.”
