U-46 Planetarium to Present Public Sky Shows in October

ELGIN, IL -- Would your family like to learn about how members of the Mayan culture viewed the night sky? The U-46 Planetarium is presenting two hour-long public sky shows on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 4:30 p.m. (English presentation) and 6:30 p.m. (Spanish presentation). Doors open at 4 p.m., according to a U-46 news release.
The focus of both shows will be a full-dome video intertwining Mayan mythology and scientific astronomy, plus a tour of the current fall sky under the dome.
Admission is cash only, $3 per person, or a maximum of $10 per family, according to the news release. The Planetarium is located at 312 Watch Street in Elgin, and there is free parking at Raymond Street and National Street -- one block away.
