Elgin Veterans' Day Ceremony Details

The town is teaming up with the American Legion to hold the ceremony which will have featured speakers and music.

ELGIN, IL — The city of Elgin is partnering with American Legion Post 57 to honor the nation's veterans in the annual Veterans Day ceremony. The ceremony will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Veterans Memorial Park.

Mayor Kaptain will open the event, and then give the mic to local veterans' organizations as well as some musical selections. "All are invited to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces," the event's Facebook page said.

Limited seating will be provided, and the public is welcome to bring their own chairs.

Veterans Memorial Park is at 270 N Grove Ave in Elgin. Parking is available at the Gail Borden Public Library.
