19-Year-Old E-Bike Rider Killed In Franklin Park Crash
The crash involving a passenger vehicle happened Tuesday morning near Belmont Avenue and George Street, police said.
FRANKLIN PARK, IL — The identity of a 19-year-old killed Tuesday morning in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and an e-bike in Franklin Park has been released.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, Luis Toaquiza died from multiple injuries from the incident.
Franklin Park police responded at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, to Belmont Avenue and George Street for a crash involving a passenger vehicle and an e-bike.

Toaquiza was taken to Loyola Hospital by paramedics but did not survive his injuries, police said.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 63-year-old man, remained at the scene and spoke with responding officers, according to police. An investigation remains ongoing.

Belmont Avenue between Mannheim Road and Scott Street was closed for several hours Tuesday while the Major Crash Unit from the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force processed the scene.
