$1M Lottery Ticket Sold In Elmhurst

The player has a year from the drawing to claim the prize.

ELMHURST, IL – An Illinois Lottery player bought a $1 million winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket at a Jewel store in Elmhurst, the lottery announced Tuesday.

The ticket was purchased Sunday night at Jewel at 153 E. Schiller St., according to a news release.

The player matched all five numbers in the Sunday evening drawing to score the prize. The numbers were 2-3-24-25-28.

This is the ninth Illinois Lottery player this year to win $1 million or more with Lucky Day Lotto, the news release said.

For the Jewel store, the win means a bonus of $10,000.

More than 31,000 winning Lucky Day Lotto tickets were sold to Illinois Lottery players for the Sunday drawing.

Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.
