$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In Elmhurst: Lottery
The local player was among those second highest behind a $1 billion winner in California, the lottery said.
ELMHURST, IL – A $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in Elmhurst, the Illinois Lottery announced Thursday.
The ticket was sold at Williams Liquor & Tobacco, 925 S. York St.
A player in California was reported to have won the $1.1 billion Powerball jackpot Wednesday night. The Elmhurst player matched all five numbers to receive the second-highest win.

A Powerball win is also a victory for the retailer selling the winning ticket, as it receives a selling bonus of 1 percent of the prize amount.
Winners have one year from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
