4 Retail Theft Arrests In Elmhurst: Cops

In another case, a man was charged with trespassing at a local business, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of burglary, retail theft, trespassing and DUI. Here is information from the reports:

Burglary

  • Shereena S. Picard, 37, and Robert Reavley, 39, both of Chicago, were arrested about 7 p.m. Wednesday at Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83, on two counts each of burglary and retail theft. Police said they stole several liquor bottles and a slice of pizza. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Carla Alagna, 34, of Franklin Park, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., on charges of burglary, retail theft and obstructing identification. In the same incident, a 40-year-old Maywood man was arrested on a warrant and a charge of driving with a suspended license. Additionally, a 52-year-old Maywood man was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon. Police said the 52-year-old had brass knuckles. They were all taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 32-year-old Hillside woman was arrested Monday on a charge of retail theft. The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Jewel, 944 S. York St. Police said she stole a liquor bottle. She was released.

Trespassing

  • A 55-year-old Johnson City, New York, man was arrested July 26 on a charge of criminal trespassing. Police said the trespassing was about 2:30 p.m. July 23 at Super Ego Holding, 677 N. Larch Ave. The man was previously served a no-trespass notice at the business. He was seen on Super Ego's video surveillance system. He was released.

DUI

  • A 31-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 5 a.m. Monday at Butterfield and Spring roads on charges of DUI, failing to dim headlights and disobeying a traffic control signal. She was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 55-year-old Hillside man was arrested about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South York Street on charges of DUI, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident. He was taken to the police station and then released.

Warrants

  • A 31-year-old Addison man and a 35-year-old Elk Grove Village woman were arrested about 8 p.m. Monday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on warrants. Police said both were drunk. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. She was released to Addison police.
