The Elmhurst Area AAUW Branch will hold its 2018 Used Book Sale at Lincoln Elementary School in Elmhurst (565 S. Fairfield) from August 2nd-5th. Thousands of books will be available as well as CDs and DVDs. There is a large Children’s section, along with sections of Fiction, Mystery, History, Sports, Hobbies, Travel, Religion, Cookbooks, and much more. We will once again have a section of books from the York High School English Department Reading List for the 2018/19 school year. Check our website for the list of York books that have been received to date.

We are pleased to offer signed copies of various First Editions and/or First Printings including The Sum of All Fears, Taltos: Lives of the Mayfair Witches, Carol Burnett’s One More Time, and James Belushi’s Real Men Don’t Apologize.

We also have a rare 1932 First Edition of The Fun of It: Random Records of My Own Flying and of Women in Aviation, written and signed by Amelia Earhart. This copy is in good condition (no dust cover) and is accompanied by the original silvertone phonograph recording of Earhart’s speech following her solo transatlantic flight. This book can be viewed by appointment only during the sale.
