The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host its monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 8th at 7:00pm in the Kossmann Meeting Room at the Elmhurst Public Library. Lauren DeSimone, Family Shelter Annual Giving Coordinator, will be the guest speaker. The title of this meeting is Safer for One, Safer for Everyone: Domestic Violence Education.
Lauren DeSimone will speak about Domestic Violence, a critical community issue that affects us all. We will learn the definitions of domestic abuse and violence and how Family Shelter Service in Wheaton helps those affected by this prevalent crime. The presentation will also include information on how we can help make a difference and be an advocate for victims in need in our own communities.
