ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police charged people with disorderly conduct, domestic battery, aggravated assault, theft of services, soliciting without a license and DUI. Here is the latest Elmhurst charge log:
Disorderly conduct
A 44-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of South Sunnyside Avenue was cited about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said the man woke up people in his block by banging on their front and rear doors. He was released.
A 33-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of South Poplar Avenue was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at his house on a domestic battery charge. The man admitted to pushing a person during an argument, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Aggravated assault
A 41-year-old Streamwood man was arrested Friday on charges of aggravated assault on public property and criminal damage. Police said an incident occurred about 1 p.m. March 30 in the 800 block of North Larch Avenue. Police said the man smashed a woman's mirror while they were stuck in traffic. The man was released.
Theft of services
A 38-year-old Markham man was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, 370 N. Route 83, on charges of theft of services and unlawful use of marijuana. Police said the man refused to pay his fare to a limo service. He was also wanted on a DuPage County warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Soliciting without a license
A 22-year-old Chicago man was cited about 8 p.m. Friday on Elm Creek Drive on a charge of soliciting without a license.
DUI
A 20-year-old Niles woman was arrested about 11 p.m. Friday at Armitage and Ridgeland avenues on charges of DUI, disobeying a stop sign, consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured car. She was taken to the police station and then released.
A 28-year-old Oak Park woman was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Road and York Street on charges of DUI, transportation of open alcohol by a driver, improper lighting and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the police station and then released.
A 44-year-old Mount Vernon man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday near the McMaster-Carr plant, 600 N. County Line Road, on charges of DUI, driving with a revoked license, driving an uninsured car, and possession of open alcohol by a driver. Police said they received a report of a suspicious person. He was taken to the police station and then released.
A 35-year-old Bensenville man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Grand Avenue and York Street on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and open alcohol in a car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
