ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving domestic battery, stolen flowers, retail theft, violation of a protection order and truck theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Domestic battery
A 30-year-old Roselle woman was arrested about 11 a.m. Saturday on a domestic battery charge. Police said the woman scratched another person's right arm at Thorntons gas station, 476 N. York St. The woman was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A 43-year-old Justice woman was arrested about 4 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of St. Charles Road on two counts of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
A woman entered Jewel, 944 S. York St., and stole flowers about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. An investigation is pending.
Retail theft
A 57-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 6 a.m. Friday on charges of retail theft and obstructing identification. Police said the incident occurred at BP gas station, 217 E. Butterfield Road. He was released.
Violating a protection order
A 33-year-old Addison man was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday at the Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave., on a charge of violating a protection order. Police said they were responding to a domestic disturbance. The man was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Theft
A woman told police that her wallet was stolen about 5 p.m. Friday at Hair Cuttery, 185 S. Route 83. A transaction was attempted on her debit card. An investigation is pending.
Truck theft
An officer discovered a stolen purple Freightliner Cascadia while on parking enforcement Saturday at Larch and Spangler avenues. The truck was taken in Pennsylvania.
