Patch obtained the full police report through a public records request. The report stated that the man's crimes were captured on surveillance cameras.

Henry Alonzo Ponder, 50, of Broadview, was charged with felony burglary and criminal trespass to property, police said.

According to the police report, Ponder, who was riding a bicycle, entered the vestibule about 12:30 a.m. June 11.

While inside, he pulled down his pants to clean himself, exposing his buttocks, police said.

He eventually exited and found an unsecured window on the school's west side. In the building, he stole items of clothing and put them on, as well as stole a backpack valued at $100, police said.

The report said Ponder entered several classrooms and the male and female restrooms. He also checked the door to the security office, which was locked, police said.

He left the school about 3:30 a.m.

About four hours later, an employee discovered a damaged window and items that had been disturbed in a classroom. Police were called.

After Elmhurst put out an alert, an Oakbrook Terrace officer identified Ponder, the report said. Ponder was found near Robert Palmer Drive and Marion Street in Elmhurst.

Police said Ponder had been the subject of numerous trespassing complaints in Oakbrook Terrance and Lombard.
