ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving disorderly conduct, reckless driving, theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Disorderly conduct
A 31-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 700 block of South Mitchell Avenue was cited about 8:30 a.m. Saturday on a disorderly conduct charge. Near his house, the man yelled in the street and threatened someone else. He was released.
An 18-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 200 block of East Gladys Avenue was cited about 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Third and Illinois streets on charges of reckless driving, improper lighting and loud exhaust. He was released.
Car theft
Someone stole a red 2021 Honda Accord overnight Thursday in the 300 block of South West Avenue. An investigation is pending.
Theft during garage sale set-up
A woman told police that her iPhone was stolen about 2:30 p.m. Friday while she was helping her neighbors set up a garage sale in the 200 block of North Larch Avenue.
DUI
A 27-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday in the 500 block of West St. Charles Road on charges of DUI and marijuana possession by a driver. She was taken to the police station and then released.
E-bike theft
A black Letric e-bicycle with a small cargo rack was stolen between 2 p.m. Friday and 12:30 a.m. Saturday from Elm Creek Drive.
